What is the purpose of the Santo Foundation?

The Santo Foundation was established to recognize and assist the careers of individual visual artists. Our mission is to provide individual artists grants, travel stipends and artist-in-residence/studio exhanges in major cultural centers. The challenges visual artists face in the 21st century are significant. It is the goal of the Foundation to help individual artists at all levels of their careers. New York, Los Angeles are essential cities for a professional artist but the cost has become prohibitive. It is very difficult to maintain a studio practice in such cities without assistance. The Foundation is pro-active in assisting artists in obtaining studio space in established cities of critical mass.
